Closing new business enables everything we do at Advocado, and the ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the majority of the sales cycle, from lead handoff to opportunity conversion. Core Responsibilities

The Account Executive (AE) will join our fast-growing team and is responsible for turning qualified leads into customers. On a daily basis, the AE will work in close collaboration with the Director of Sales to:

  • Manage the sales cycle, presenting to VP level and above executives on the value and power of the Advocado’s platform and services
  • Overcome business objections of prospective clients, as necessary
  • Bring in subject matter experts and/or the technology team as appropriate to overcome objections
  • Keep up with product, market and industry knowledge and become a subject matter expert
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the platform as it constantly evolves
  • Prepare formal proposals, produce price quotes, work with management on deal negotiations
  • Provide feedback (customer/prospect needs, industry trends, market perceptions, competitive intelligence, etc.) to company management, Marketing, and Product Management team
  • Utilize our CRM to track and manage pipeline

What We're Looking For: Required Skills:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in a B2B sales (broadcast media or cable ad sales experience highly preferred)
  • Persuasive communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with experience developing and executing go-to-market sales strategies
  • Proficiency in CRM management 
  • Savvy with respect to web conferencing and screen sharing technology (Zoom experience preferred)
  • Proven track record of closing B2B and media sales
  • Respond positively to unpredictable situations or problems that can occur throughout the course of the day
  • Highly driven and comfortable juggling multiple balls at once
  • Ability to independently analyze complex issues and make sound decisions
  • Resourcefulness, creativity, and strategic thinking
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment in which the requirements are not always well defined and priorities change frequently
